Sharing the gospel and our lives with the military community

The Front Porch

$

History

Lou and Cathy Rozmiarek are relaunching the ministry known as The Front Porch, a hospitality house for the U.S. military community in Wiesbaden, Germany. At present, they are still at the setting up phase—meeting with chaplains and networking in the community as well as working to make their house a functional home. They will update this page once they officially kick-off the ministry.

Overview of Community

U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden (USAG), headquartered at Lucius D. Clay Kaserne, services 15 installations and housing areas as well as several enclaves in and around Wiesbaden, Hessen. Located 20 minutes away from Frankfurt International Airport, the Wiesbaden military community is host to several tenant units, including: U.S. Army Europe Headquarters, 5th Signal Command, 66th Military Intelligence Group, 1st Air Support Operations Group, 1st Battalion, 214th Aviation Regiment, 485th Intelligence Squadron and the 7th Weather Squadron. USAG Wiesbaden manages two major installations at Lucius D. Clay Kaserne and Hainerberg, as well as several housing areas. It is a growing military community as many other bases in Europe are closing and relocating their units to Wiesbaden.

Activities

Lou and Cathy plan to host two programmed ministry nights each week. One gathering will be a dinner followed by a time of worship, teaching, and fellowship which will be open to all with childcare provided. The second will be an adult only gathering geared for single or newly married soldiers. They also will be available for individual mentoring and discipling as well as supporting the base chapel community and leading occasional weekend excursions.
